GOLPRONET VISITS LAW REFORM COMMISSION
As part of the effort for continuous engagement with agencies of government that their mandate aligns with the vision of our Board of Trustees, the Management of Good Leadership Promotion Network led by our National Coordinator Olaniyi Odina and our Deputy National Coordinator Olasunmkami Cicero has visited the office of the Nigeria Law Reform Commission.
At the commission, we were received by a Commissioner, Hon. M.B.O. Ibraheem. Our team engaged the commissioner and briefed him on our efforts we also sought the support of the commission on proposed Correctional Center Decongestion Advocacy. We also called for a continuous review of now obsolete laws, especially those that affect the youths.
In his response Hon. MBO Ibrahim welcomed our team to the commission and appreciated us for our efforts thus far. We were encouraged to see the Correctional Centres Decongestion Advocacy as a call to service to both God and humanity. He also advised that we do more in areas of voters education and ensure we revamp our “Cast the Votes, Shun the Violence” program. We were assured of the support and best wishes of the commission at all times.
